F12-SESSION 016 // HOLLYY
Inspired by legends like Irma Thomas, the legends of Stax Records and Motown, and fueled by events like Windy City Soul Club nights at The Empty Bottle, they’ve continuously evolved their sound since the release of their debut EP, “Letters from Lawndale”.
They’ve shared stages with Jacob Banks and Gwen Stefani and have earned comparisons to contemporary soul acts like St. Paul and the Broken Bones. Drawing from diverse musical influences and a tight-knit creative synergy, Hollyy continues to carve a compelling path in Chicago’s indie-soul scene.
Don’t miss their holiday concert this December at Thalia Hall.

“There’s a hardcore indie scene, there’s a country scene, there’s a lot of people trying out new things. I think the Chicago music scene is one of the healthiest in the country”
- Peter Giere, Hollyy

“2018 definitely got it going. We played everywhere and anywhere, as most and every indie band does. Whatever bar down the street would take us. We started to build a bit of a thing in Chicago”
